The Space Between

Ink and watercolor on paper · A3, 29.7 × 42 cm · 2026

About the work

This work turns attention toward the space between things: between one person and another, one feeling and the next, presence and distance. That in-between space is left active rather than empty, inviting the viewer to bring their own relationships and memories to it.

Across Eltoukhi’s practice, the work is not intended to prescribe a single interpretation. It is an invitation to notice what the image awakens, recalls or makes newly visible for you.
